Thank you for an incredible first day.
Behind the scenes: today I launched this project and then I went to record something in a studio for 8 hours and mostly didn't have access to my phone. Aubrey was completely in charge of updating Twitter and Instagram and running this project. THIS IS NEW FOR ME. AND HER. And she did incredible.
And when I walked out of the studio at 5, y'all had really DESTROYED my expectations of our first day. I love you.
You also racked up almost 2,000 views on our new music video! This is truly the most epic project we've ever undertaken. If it got lost in the shuffle of the Kickstarter day for you, please watch it on YouTube! The animators did amazing work!
This band, the Doubleclicks, is a project that comes from love, vulnerability, and just the urge to try silly things and see if they work. Today was a testament to me that art is still important and laughing is important, and people are still important to each other. I know that's corny, so here's a picture of my cat.
Over the next couple of weeks, we're going to share with you some stuff about the songs on this album, some new art and pin designs, and an online stream or two! If there's any sort of particular behind-the-scenes content you'd like to see, I'd love to hear about it in the comments here.
